Do you think I could use Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream Usp 0.1% for Pityriasis Rosea?

I know it can be used for many ';skin disorders.'; I don't think it could hurt. Any suggestions? Do you think I could use Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream Usp 0.1% for Pityriasis Rosea?

You should call your doctor and ask him.

Well, generally doctors say that there's no treatment necessary with Pityriasis Rosea. In most patients, the condition lasts only a matter of weeks; in some cases it can last longer (up to six months). Topical or oral steroids may be prescribed in cases of severe itching. However, I'm a bit wary in using triamcinolone acetonide for this condition as it is 8 times more effective than most steroid ointments. If you really have to use it, please limit on the affected area and use sparingly (as necessary).
