Is it ok to use triamcinolone acetonide cream for a fungus rash?
my friend put some of this on me for my rash but is it safe for this type of rash???Is it ok to use triamcinolone acetonide cream for a fungus rash?
They give that stuff to babies for yeast related diaper rash, but the safer alternative for everyone is to use a powdered refrigerated form of live cultures like what are in yogurt (should have acidophilus in it and other beneficial bacteria). That will clear up yeast pretty fast. Toward the end of my pregnancy I always took a teaspoon of the powder every day, and then continued for a while after the birth. I also mixed half a teaspoon with a tiny bit of water and fed it to my newborn with an eyedropper to prevent thrush in the mouth and yeast related diaper rash. I bought my powder (which was the kind for children) at Whole Foods, but most healthfood stores would have it.

my dermatologist prescribed this to me 3 days ago for my skin. Im a brown skin african american female, i have really dry skin, dark blotches, bad bug bites, dark knees and elbows, and i suffered from eczema years back which cleared up but left dark marks.... anyways so she prescribed me Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.1% cream and said it would even out my skin tone and make my skin much softer... and it would lighten my skin color about 1 shade lighter...
i really need something that works because i dont want to spend alot of money or something that doesnt work :-/
how affective will this be for me?
will it actually lighten my skin tone and even out my skin color?
will it get ride of my dark bug bites and dark blotches?

I was trying to find out this same thing. I'm Mexican and my dr gave me nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream too because like a dummy i put apple cider vinegar on a fungus i had on my face and the vinegar burnt my skin!!!
my dr said that it will clear the fungus and lighten the burn mark. i have been using this since monday. it does look like its working a little but i dont know because im panicking so much about the burn so its always going to look big and dark to me.Does Triamcinolone Acetonide cream really work?

I went to the doctors recently. It was a new doctor and I went to see him about my body acne.(ewww) I asked him to refill my stuff then he said the stuff that I am on isnt for body acne. So I guess my old doctor messed up. But the thing is that this was the best thing that has worked for me so far. The thing that I am on is Triamcinolone Acetonide cream USP. I looked it up and its mainly for rashes and not for acne. It says its anti-flamatory. So would this mean that it helps my acne? You need to be using a cleanser without fragrances or dyes, use a different sponge or washcloth each time - bacteria can live on wet sponges/washcloths and then when you use it, you put it back on your body. Then apply a product that has benzoyl peroxide - which will help kill any bacteria on your skin and prevent future breakouts.
The doctor can also prescribe other medication - like a retinoid - if the above doesn't work.

It just depends on what you're using it for. Triamcinolone is much stronger, but you should not use it on sensitive areas like your face, it can thicken your skin there or you may have a reaction to it. Hydrocortisone is not so strong, so depending on what you're using it for maybe start with that and if it doesn't work try the triamcinolone, but, again, only use it on tougher areas of skin.

Well, there is no clinical data to demonstrate either way that it does or that it does not interfere with your natural production of cortisol.
This stuff is marketed in Australia under the name ';Aristocort'; and is a strong steroid cream for the treatment of eczema, dermatitis and a variety of skin ailments. (Although we actually only use a 0.02% preparation)
The side effect profile listed does not include Cushing's disease (which is the usual result of oral or injected steroids over a long period of time) but it is known to be absorbed systemically into the blood stream - known to have half life of 2-5hrs and to be metabolised mostly in the liver to biologically inactive compounds which are excreted in the urine.
It is quite possible to theorize that a 0.1% preparation used regularly on a large area of damaged skin (which is why you'd be given the stuff in the first place) for a long period of time could have an effect on the adrenal glands and DECREASE your normal production of cortisol (iatrogenic Cushing's disease).
Proving it would be a different (and more difficult) matter.
Incidentally, I am not an expert in this area. You would do better to consult a pharmacologist or dermatologist.

My daughter also has diabetes and some of her medicine gives her a bad reaction when she is exposed to the sun or tanning salon, so she is unable to use this type of treatment. It does work tho. Here is a herb remedy that will work.
1. Take 1-3 droppersful of Echinacea Plus Tincture (at herbdoc.com or another qualified site) to strengthen the immune system.
2. Rub Garlic oil ALL over the affected area (Garlic will kill anything if you use enough of it)
3. Give 1-3 glasses of Activated Charcoal Slurry per day (to absorb the toxins out of the blood)
4. Mix equal parts of Aloe Vera Gel, Slippery Elm Powder and Activated Charcoal Powder together (absorbs the toxins externally)
5. Apply a thin layer of this mixture over the AFFECTED area(s).
6. Continue this treatment, until the desired Results are achieved.
This is healing at it's highest point.

It tightens and firms skin, and I have been using it for over a year. I am mid(ahem) forties and do not have any wrinkles! I also wear sunscreen, and makeup with sunscreen added to make sure I don't get sunburned on my face.

I think I used it a bitttt too much on my pimple. A layer of my skin has peeled off and beneath has revealed a pink blotch of irritated skin. You can see the difference in skin layers. (It isn't A LOT, but definetly visible from up really close) What should I do? It's right on my nose and completely visible! Should I use neosporin? Vitamin E? 2.) Wash your face twice a day.
3.) Do not over wash your face.

My lips normally tend to be dry and chapped every time im on antibiotics or when ever im stressed out. I normally try blistex when it gets worse and it usually recovers with in a week. This time how ever i got a aciclover (Zovirax) cream. I later realised that this cream is for cold sores and oral herpes. I do not have cold sores but I dont want waste this cream as it costs about 拢5.00.

Zovirax cream! does it work?
ok so I am having a cold sore outbreak at both sides of my mouth. I went to subway today, and after the first bite of my sub I felt the burn and swelling, It came on very fast, I think it might have been the sub sauce. My doctor gave me Zovirax cream, I have read that it works and that it doesnt work. So for anyone else that is using this cream - has it worked for you????
I have to go into my new job for training in about a week, and I wont be able to with that yellow crust all over my face that forms after the blisters weep. So I would like to know if this cream will possibly do the trick by then!

Sounds like you are getting a heat rash, try taking anti-histamines in the summer to help.

You are describing what is possibly urticaria, which is an allergic response to something...maybe you are using a biological washing powder? If so, change it to a NON-biological powder.
To ease the problem you could use Crotamiton cream (Eurax cream), applying lightly every 6 hours.
Keep the areas well-aired in hot weather, ie. no trousers or sleeves.
Avoid commercial moisturizers completely. These only serve to block your pores so that they can't breathe at all. The lotion itself may feel soothing, but it is doing serious damage in the process.
Get some pine tar soap in either bar or liquid form and wash the affected areas with this. Rinse with a solution of 50% apple cider vinegar and 50% water. Pat dry rather than rubbing. Additionally, ingest at least a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar every day. You can add it to your apple juice or a glass of water or make a kind of tea with it by adding it to a cup of steaming water or have a salad with apple cider vinegar and oil as the dressing. This will help work on the problem from the inside while you are working on the problem on the surface.

I have not used that cream but do know that no cream will get rid your cold sore immediately. It is caused by a virus, you can lessen the pain and healing time with Abreva but it will take about a week to completely heal depending on how big it gets..good luck

Lysine, an amino acid, supresses the the virus. If I take the Lysine supplements right when I think I am getting a cold sore, it either stops me from getting one, or the cold sore only lasts one or two days.

Zovirax cream and Pill for Cold sores?
I had my cold sore for 5 days now - and was at scabbing stage. I just got the Zovirax cream and pill. Used the cream and while checking the cold sore the scab fell off but it wasnt ready to fall off! So what I want to know whether its alright to put the Zovirax cream on the cold sore even though the scab fell off? Zovirax kills the virus cells and stops them spreading. Put it on the sore. If you pull at the scabs then you delay the process.. so in future, just put zovirax on as soon as you notice the tingling feeling before the sore develops... and let the scab fall of naturally.
Take the pill too. It will not harm you to double up.
